Man arrested after alleged multi-county larceny crime spree

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says a man is accused of stealing multiple vehicles.

On Wednesday, the Columbus and Bladen County Sheriff’s Offices arrested Wesley Carroll of Rockingham in Bladen County.

The investigation stems from a reported vehicle theft Monday in the Bolton community near NC 211.

At the scene, investigators discovered an abandoned vehicle that had been stolen out of Scotland County. He faces larceny charges across multiple counties, and is being held without bond due to probation and parole violations.
