Bladen County Sheriff’s Office arrests man on child sex charges
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man was arrested on child sex charges Tuesday, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says that on September 2nd, Bladen County 911 received a call to assist the Bladen County Dept. of Social Services with a report of sexual abuse.
A 17-year-old minor child disclosed to an investigator that Joshua Poe Hatfield, 41, of Harrells had been sexually abusing them off and on for the past four years, but most recently a couple months ago.
Hatfield was charged with:
- Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by an Adult
- Statutory Rape of Child by Adult
- Sexual Battery
Hatfield was given no bond at this time and is currently being held at Bladen County Detention Center.
This is still an open investigation, says the sheriff’s office.
