WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Just Do GOOD Entertainment announces the world premiere of Air Angels: Flight Helene, a film honoring “everyday heroes” who aided during Hurricane Helene.

The premiere will take place on Veteran’s Day, November 11th at the historic Cameo Art House Theatre located at 225 Hay Street in Fayetteville.

There will be two showings with a live portion at both. The first show at 3 p.m. is reserved for verified military, veterans and first responders. The mayor of Fayetteville will proclaim November 11th as “Air Angels Day” during the event.

The ticketed 6 p.m. show is open to the public and attendees will enjoy a red-carpet experience, giveaways and a chance to win a grand prize.

Wilmington Health cardiologist Dr. Craig McCotter is featured in the film. During the show, he and other ‘Air Angels’ featured in the film will be honored on stage. He volunteered as part of civilian mission groups to help those stranded by the catastrophic storm.

The film tells stories of individuals who used their own resources, aircraft, vehicles and time to rescue and support those in need in western North Carolina. Like McCotter who used his own Robinson Helicopter R-44 Clipper II to get to cut-off areas.

Air Angels: Flight Helene is set to debut early 2026 on a subscriber-based streaming service still to be announced.
