ALGW donated thousands to the Foundation of Brunswick Community College

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — The Assistance League of Greater Wilmington (ALGW) donated $35,000 to the Foundation of Brunswick Community College.

The college says the gift will provide much-needed scholarships for students pursuing their career goals.

Since 2008 and with the help of Assistance League’s Thrift Shop, the organization has returned more than $2.2 million to the community.

“The impact of the Assistance League’s generosity reaches far beyond our campus,” said Teresa Nelson, Executive Director of The Foundation of BCC. “Their investment in student success helps build stronger families, a stronger workforce, and a stronger community. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and belief in our mission.”
