Oak Island Mayor Liz White projected to lose her seat

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Oak Island voters are deciding who will lead their island community, as the incumbent Mayor Liz White faces two challengers. 

With 100% of the votes in, it appears White is projected to lose her seat by less than 60 votes. 

Newcomer Christopher Brown takes the lead with an unofficial count of 1551 votes.  

Douglas James DeArros had 77 votes.
