NHCO launches online resource for local mental health services
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY—TV) – There’s a new online resource available for New Hanover County residents looking for mental health and substance use disorder services.
The county launched the “Help Right Here” website which connects community members with over 65 local providers. After logging in, residents are taken through a personalized test to match them with a provider.
The website uses a resource matching tool, interactive maps and detailed provider listings. The online resource stems from the county’s mental health and substance use disorder strategic plan.
Jennifer Rigby, county chief strategy officer said many residents did not know where to get help in times of need.
“We wanted to make sure that we were helping to connect folks with the right resources at the right time.”
