December pop-up food bank markets provide assistance during holiday season

CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina announced their December pop-up food bank markets to help serve families facing food insecurity.

Pop-up markets allow people to choose from a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, snacks, and beverages.

No ID is required and anyone in need is welcome to shop.

Local Schedule:

  • December 16th:
    • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Cape Fear Christian Church 811 N College Road, Wilmington, NC
  • December 19th:
    • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church 2586 Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia, NC
  • December 20th:
    • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Jerusalem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church 6224 Chadbourn Highway, Chadbourn, NC
  • December 30th:
    • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at St. James AME Zion Church 27 Old Town Creek Road NE, Leland, NC
