North Brunswick’s Johnson to compete in Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Orlando

LELAND, N.C. (WWAY) — One area football player has earned the right to compete in the Sunshine State against other talented athletes from across the country.
Jack Johnson of North Brunswick will head to Orlando for the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl this weekend.
Johnson earned the opportunity after attending a camp in Fayetteville over the summer, which he described as a tryout to make the bowl.
The senior linebacker says he is grateful for his Scorpion coaches. He also views this as a chance to get recruited to play in college, which is what he hopes to do.
“I think it’s going to be a great opportunity to get a lot of exposure because there’s going to be a bunch of coaches there I get to talk to,” Johnson said. “It’ll be very cool to talk to all of them, play in front of all of them and play one last game. They’ve helped me a lot. My coaches have been great. I’ve gotten so much better while I’ve been here. From my freshman year until now, I’ve gotten so much better because of them.”
Practices will be held Saturday and Sunday. The bowl game will be held Monday at Camping World Stadium, which is where the NFL holds the Pro Bowl.
