Public hearing scheduled on proposed naming of East Bladen High School soccer field
ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — A public hearing has been scheduled to hear comments on a proposal to name the East Bladen High School Soccer Area in honor of Dr. Samuel Ray Cross.
The hearing will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Boardroom at the Bladen County Schools District Office.
The hearing is being held by a Naming Committee appointed to consider the proposal, as required by Bladen County Board of Education Policy 9300.
Members of the public are invited to attend and provide comments on the proposed naming.
Anyone who wishes to speak will have a maximum of three minutes. Unused speaking time cannot be transferred to another speaker.
Written feedback can also be submitted to the Naming Committee through an online feedback form. The submitted comments will be provided to the committee for consideration as part of the naming process.
