Southeastern Community College cosmetology instructor earns prestigious certification

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Southeastern Community College announced that their lead cosmetology instructor earned certification through the World Trichology Society.

Dr. David Kingsley, founder and president of World Trichology Society, an international organization dedicated to the scientific study of hair and scalp health, presented the certification to Eli Murillo.

This credential recognizes Murillo as a certified trichologist, a specialist in the science of hair and scalp health.

“This certification represents my lifelong passion for understanding the science behind beautiful, healthy hair,” said Murillo. “I’m thrilled to bring this expertise to our students and community, connecting cosmetology and trichology to help others from both a professional and wellness standpoint.” 

According to a press release, Murillo has more than 38 years’ experience in the beauty industry.
