Raleigh man sentenced to federal prison for threatening to kill former President Joe Biden

RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — On Friday, a Raleigh man was sentenced to serve at least 2 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release after threatening to kill then-President Joe Biden and the U.S. Secret Service agent who came to investigate the threat.
According to court documents, Michael Ferr, 31, posted several comments including death threats to Biden on X.com on January 10th.
Four days later, U.S. Secret Service agents interviewed Ferr about his threats and he threatened to kill the agent.
On August 19th Ferr pled guilty to the charges.
The National Security Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case. The U.S. Secret Service with the assistance of the Raleigh Police Department investigated the case.
