Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office charges Supply man with attempted first-degree murder following a shooting incident
Brunswick County (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office have charged Trevor Joe Freeman, 24, of Civietown Road in Supply, with attempted first-degree murder following a shooting incident that occurred on December 29, 2025, at 9:15 p.m.
Deputies responded to a home on Civietown Road in Supply, where they located an adult male victim, who was identified as Mitchell Jay Ward, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Ward was transported to an area medical facility and is in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. With assistance from the community, detectives were able to locate and apprehend Freeman.
Freeman is currently in custody.
