Raleigh, NC (WWAY) — Economy parking options will change at RDU in early 2026. The Park Economy 4 lot near I-540 and U.S. 70 will permanently close to airport guests on Jan. 2 and become an employee-only parking lot.

Park Economy 4 will not accept online bookings from travelers past Jan 1. Guests will continue to have multiple options for on-airport parking that meet a variety of needs and budgets:

  • ParkRDU Premier: Located on the ground level of the parking garage between Terminals 1 and 2, Premier provides direct walking access to both terminals and features dedicated spaces in a covered area for ultimate ease and convenience.
  • ParkRDU Central: Offers covered and outdoor spaces in the central parking garage and is within easy walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2.
  • ParkRDU Express: Great for families or travelers with extra luggage, this option offers a short, comfortable shuttle ride from your vehicle to the terminals with luggage assistance and free bottled water.
  • ParkRDU Economy 3: Has the lowest daily rates at RDU and offers free 24/7 shuttle service to the terminals.

The ParkRDU Economy 3 lot is expanding to add 7,000 new spaces, a customer amenity building, solar panels, and EV chargers. New spaces will open in phases through 2026.

If you are driving to Park Economy 3 from locations north of the airport, you can save time by following I-540 to southbound Aviation Parkway, then turning left at Sheetz at the intersection of Aviation Parkway and National Guard Drive. The entrance to Park Economy 3 is on the right.

To reserve parking online, go to www.ParkRDU.com to guarantee a spot in the garage or lot.
