NC DMV warning North Carolinians of scam text
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles is warning people about a text scam about tolls.
NCDMV says the texts request payment for fees, fines, or tolls.
They remind people that they’ll never request payment by text.
If you get a text like this one, report it as spam and delete it. NCDMV says you can also copy the message and report it to the FTC by sending it to 7726 (SPAM).
