Southport firefighters enjoy snowy fun with kids at waterfront

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Firefighters in Southport traded hoses for snowballs as they joined kids and families for some snowy fun along the waterfront.

Members of the Southport Fire Department spent time with the community playing in the snow, hosting friendly snowball fights with local children and even sledding at the beach.

Even Fire Chief Charles Drew took a turn and slid down the hill.
