Winter weather causes flight cancellations and delays at Wilmington International Airport

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Winter weather from the recent snowstorm has led to numerous flight cancellations and delays at Wilmington International Airport, according to the airport’s online arrivals and departures web page.

The website shows several arriving flights were canceled, including multiple American Airlines flights from Charlotte, New York–LaGuardia, Philadelphia and Washington-Reagan, along with United Airlines flights from Newark and Delta Air Lines flights from Atlanta. Some flights were delayed, while others arrived early or remained on schedule.

Departures were also affected, with the online listing showing canceled flights to destinations including Charlotte, Atlanta, Newark, Philadelphia and New York–LaGuardia. Other departures experienced delays, including a flight to Dallas/Fort Worth, while several flights to destinations such as Orlando, Nashville, Miami and Hartford/Springfield were listed as on time.

Travelers are encouraged to check directly with their airline for the most up-to-date flight information, as conditions and schedules may continue to change.
