Town of Carolina Beach warns residents of scam emails

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Carolina Beach says they’re aware of phishing emails that look as if they’re coming from the town.

The fraudulent emails aim to steal information or device recipients by mimicking legitimate government communication.

If you think an email is scam the town urges you to use caution, check the sender address, and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
