WilmingtoNColor hosts second annual Black History Carnival
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–WilmingtoNColor hosted its second annual Black History Month Carnival at Chow Town, to commemorate and celebrate Black History Month.
Over two dozen attendees participated in eating local food trucks, shopping with local vendors, playing games, and even jumping in a bounce house.
Participants could also learn more about black history in downtown Wilmington, with the WilmingtonNColor Heritage Tour Bus, which told impactful stories that happened around the area.
Faith Kerr, one of the local vendors at the festival, says it’s amazing for the community to celebrate Black History Month together.
“I feel honored, it feels like a celebration, like a family reunion,” said Kerr. “We all get to be together and be as one, for Black History Month. We should do it all the time. I just feel honored; I had to take this opportunity.”
