BSL Police and Brunswick Fie Marshall’s Office investigating deadly BSL house fire

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — An investigation into a house fire in Boiling Spring Lakes is underway.

Around 4 am Sunday, the Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue, Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department, and Brunswick County EMS responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Sigman Road.

It was discovered that four people were inside the home at the time of the fire.

One person was taken to the hospital for additional treatment, but a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several family pets died in the fire as well, and one firefighter was treated for a leg injury that happened while working on the fire.

The incident is being investigated by the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department and the Brunswick County Fire Marshall’s Office.
