OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WWAY) — Paid parking enforcement at Oak Island begins April 1 and will run through Sept. 30, according to local officials.

Parking fees will be enforced daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during that period. Officials said resident-only parking spaces will be enforced from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day and may be monitored around the clock.

Officials also announced that resident and seasonal parking permits are now available for purchase. Permits can be obtained through the SurfCAST mobile app, online, or by phone through Otto Connect.

Resident permits cost $10 each, with a limit of three permits per household. Seasonal permits are available for $225 each, with a limit of four permits per purchase. Officials said those interested in purchasing five or more seasonal permits should refer to bulk permit options.
