WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College will present Blade Runner LIVE on Sunday, November 15, offering audiences a unique cinematic concert experience.

The event will feature Blade Runner screened on a large HD display while Vangelis’ iconic score is performed live in sync by The Avex Ensemble. The film, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, is widely regarded as a landmark in science fiction cinema.

Set in a dystopian version of 2019 and based on the novel by Philip K. Dick, Blade Runner follows detective Rick Deckard as he tracks down rogue artificial humans known as replicants. The film has long been praised for its influence on the cyberpunk genre and its exploration of what it means to be human.

Tickets will be available to members starting April 8 at 10 a.m., with general public sales opening April 9 at 10 a.m. The R-rated film will be shown with subtitles and is not recommended for younger audiences.
