12th annual Wilmington Jewish Film Festival returns this spring

The Wilmington Jewish Film Festival kicks off this Sunday, April 12 at Thalian Hall.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 12th annual Wilmington Jewish Film Festival will take place at Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts across three weekends this spring, offering a lineup of compelling films exploring Jewish culture, history, and contemporary issues.

The festival kicks off on Sunday, April 12, at 7 p.m. with the documentary Against the Wind: The Fight to End Hate, a powerful examination of the historical roots of antisemitism and how it has persisted over centuries. Following the screening, attendees are invited to a Q&A and dessert reception with director Doug Adams and Jeff Schoep, a former neo-Nazi featured in the film.

Additional screenings will run April 26–29 and May 3–6. Individual tickets are $10, while a full festival cinema pass is available for $60.
