Topsail advances with 13-5 win over North Davidson

BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WWAY) — In day two of the South Brunswick baseball tournament, Topsail advanced to the championship game following a 13-5 win over North Davidson on Tuesday.

The Pirates led 4-0, but entered the 5th trailing 5-4. They evened it up with a Fisher Taylor chopper back up the middle that brought Gibson Todd around to score.

They then took the lead when Kellan Coleman’s knock turned into an RBI of his own.

What followed were several insurance runs, including a grand slam in the 7th.
