UNCW Men’s Tennis Falls to Tulsa in Regular Season Finale

CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — UNC Wilmington’s men’s tennis team closed out its regular season Sunday with a 4-1 loss to nationally ranked Tulsa.

Tulsa improved to 15-12 with the nonconference victory, while the Seahawks fell to 10-11 heading into postseason play.

UNCW’s lone point came from Alex de Gabriele, who won his match at No. 2 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

The Seahawks are now awaiting their placement in the Coastal Athletic Association Championships, with the tournament field set to be announced Monday afternoon.
