Wilmington man arrested following car crash
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is facing multiple charges after driving while impaired on Saturday.
51-year-old Theodore Gause is facing multiple charges after being arrested on Saturday by Wilmington police.
According to court documents, Gause was driving while impaired when he crashed his car.
He has been charged with felony serious injury by vehicle, with documents stating a 9-year-old suffered an amputated leg as a result of the crash, felony hit and run causing serious injury or death, misdemeanor driving with a revoked license, and 4 other misdemeanors.
Gause has a long record, including prior charges of driving with a revoked license, hit and run, and being named a habitual felon back in 2004.
He was given no bond, and his first court appearance will be on Monday.
