WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is introducing a new training program aimed at preparing students for careers in the growing craft beer industry.

The college announced its Commercial Craft Brewing program, a 10-week course designed to provide hands-on experience and foundational knowledge for entry-level positions in brewing.

Classes are set to begin June 1 and will run every Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 10. Instruction will take place at CFCC’s downtown Wilmington campus, as well as at various local breweries, giving participants a mix of classroom learning and real-world experience.

Program organizers say students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the brewing process, including techniques, equipment use, quality control, and industry best practices.

College officials say the program is designed to meet workforce demand while offering students a practical pathway into a rapidly expanding field.

More information about registration and course details is available on the college’s website.
