WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is offering a series of upcoming events to help current and prospective students navigate the financial aid process.

Throughout May and early June, the college will host four FAFSA completion sessions across its campus locations, providing hands-on assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The form is required for students seeking financial support such as grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and student loans.

Financial aid staff will be available at each session to guide participants step-by-step through the application process, answer questions, and ensure forms are completed accurately.

College officials encourage students and parents to prepare in advance by creating a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at studentaid.gov at least 72 hours before attending. Both students and parents will need separate FSA IDs to complete the process during the sessions.

The events are part of CFCC’s ongoing efforts to make higher education more accessible by helping students better understand and secure financial aid.

More information about the FAFSA completion events is available on the college’s website.
