Town of Leland to host 6th annual Hurricane Expo

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Leland is bringing back its annual Hurricane Expo, offering residents a chance to prepare for the upcoming storm season with guidance from local, state, and federal experts.

The sixth annual event will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center.

Designed to strengthen community preparedness ahead of hurricane season, the expo will provide practical safety information, emergency resources, and opportunities to connect directly with responding agencies. Attendees can pick up copies of the Town of Leland’s official Hurricane Guide–available in both English and Spanish–and enter a drawing to win a rain barrel.

Officials encourage residents to attend and take advantage of the resources available to help ensure they are prepared before, during, and after a storm.
