Three arrested following Brunswick County meth trafficking investigation

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Three people were arrested after a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office investigation into methamphetamine trafficking led to the seizure of more than 100 grams of the drug.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, agents concluded a brief investigation on June 18 involving the alleged trafficking of methamphetamine by Billy Jack Sasser. Members of the agency’s Vice and Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Special Operations Unit and K-9 teams, conducted a traffic stop on Maco Road as part of the investigation.
During the stop, investigators located approximately 107 grams, or 3.8 ounces, of methamphetamine.
Authorities arrested Billy Jack Sasser, 46, of Supply, charging him with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault on a law enforcement agency animal.
Also arrested were Grant W. Oehlert, 42, of Southport, and Brittany Taylor Mikulec, 35, of Supply. Both were charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine.
Sheriff Brian Chism praised the efforts of the Vice and Narcotics Unit, Special Operations Unit and K-9 teams for their work in combating illegal drug activity in the county.
