Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — The Good Morning Carolina crew got into the Fourth of July spirit with a fun and easy holiday craft.
Matt, Jason and Anastasia took turns making confetti poppers ahead of the holiday weekend. It’s a simple, family-friendly activity that’s perfect for staying cool indoors.
To make a confetti popper, you’ll need a cardboard tube, a balloon, tape, scissors, construction paper, confetti and any decorations you’d like, such as markers, stickers or glitter glue.
Start by blowing up a balloon to stretch it, then let the air out and cut off the tip. Stretch the balloon over one end of the cardboard tube and secure it with tape around the base. Tie the other end of the balloon.
Next, decorate the tube however you’d like. Once it’s finished, fill the open end with confetti.
When you’re ready, pull back on the tied end of the balloon and release it to launch the confetti, creating the effect of a miniature firework.
The Good Morning Carolina crew wishes everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July weekend.
