Oysters in October returns to Burgwin-Wright House for Halloween-themed fundraiser

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Oysters, a low country boil and Halloween costumes will once again come together in downtown Wilmington for the sixth annual Oysters in October fundraiser.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Wilmington West, the Halloween-themed oyster roast will take place Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the gardens of the historic Burgwin-Wright House at 224 Market Street.

Tickets are $100 per person and include steamed oysters, a low country boil and two drink tickets that can be used for beer, wine or liquor. A cash bar will also be available.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and other local nonprofit organizations.

“We look forward to this every year,” said event chair Sue Meier. “It’s a wonderful time with delicious food and lots of fun in a gorgeous setting.”

Organizers are continuing the event’s Halloween theme and are encouraging guests to come in costume.

“And it’s for a great cause,” Meier said. “Proceeds benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. We hope to see you there!”

The event will be held at the Burgwin-Wright House, 224 Market Street, in Wilmington.
