Wilmington police investigating shooting on Metting Road
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting reported Monday morning on Metting Road.
Police said officers responded to the 3500 block of Metting Road shortly after 7:20 a.m. following a ShotSpotter alert for possible gunfire in the area.
Officers arrived shortly afterward and found evidence consistent with a shooting, according to WPD.
No injuries have been reported.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
