Local dental practice announces free care for military members and veterans

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Coastal Cosmetic Family Dentistry will offer free dental services to active-duty military members, their families and veterans during its annual Freedom Day event in October.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the practice’s locations in Bolivia and Oak Island. Services will be provided by appointment only.

The practice said eligible participants can receive one free service, including a cleaning, filling or extraction.

Registration begins Sept. 23.

The event is part of Freedom Day USA, a national initiative focused on recognizing military members, veterans and their immediate families.

Dr. Aaron Wilharm said the practice’s staff is grateful to current and former service members and their families.

“Our practice is collectively grateful to all that are currently serving, have served and their families,” Wilharm said. “We support you and we are honored to be able to provide these services year after year as a small way to say thank you.”

Coastal Cosmetic Family Dentistry said its Freedom Day event is being held for the 12th consecutive year.
