Whiteville takes down East Bladen 48-36

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — The Whiteville Wolfpack remained undefeated Friday night with a 48-36 win over the East Bladen Eagles in Elizabethtown.

Whiteville struck first after forcing an early stop, with junior running back Ty’Lae Rose scoring on a run up the middle. Rose scored two touchdowns in the first half.

Jaden Lewis responded for the Eagles … scoring two touchdowns in the first half as well, helping keep the game competitive early.

East Bladen Senior Running Back Riley Collins then added a touchdown on a long run down the sideline.

The Wolfpack led 21-14 at halftime.

Whiteville extended its lead early in the third quarter when sophomore receiver Trayvionne Williams caught a pass over the middle and ran it into the end zone for another touchdown.

Sophomore receiver Teron Leggett scored shortly after Williams, on a fade route to the back pylon.

The Wolfpack held on for the 48-36 victory, improving to 3-0 on the season.
