Shooting in Boiling Spring Lakes leaves one critically injured

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person critically injured Saturday evening in Boiling Spring Lakes.

Officers with the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department responded at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12 to reports of a disturbance at BSL Storage Solutions in the 3500 block of George II Highway.

When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment and remains in critical condition, according to police.

A suspect has been detained in connection with the shooting.

Police said the incident is believed to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
