Opening delayed for Calabash Walmart

CALABASH, NC (WWAY) — The planned Oct. 7 grand opening of a new Walmart Supercenter in Calabash has been postponed, according to the company.

Walmart has not announced a new opening date.

The store is located at 9700 Ocean Highway West in Calabash, near the Carolina Shores community.

The new Supercenter is expected to employ about 450 associates.

Walmart said it is continuing to hire for positions at the store.
