Crystals, curiosities and more at Wilmington’s Occult and Oddities Fest

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A unique Wilmington festival is bringing together local artists, vendors and people with an interest in the unusual.

From crystals and pendulums to keychains, the Occult and Oddities Fest returned to the Elks Lodge on Saturday, featuring dozens of vendors and a variety of gothic artwork, vintage pieces and other unusual curiosities you may not find at a typical market.

Organizer Emily Griffin says the event was created to give local artists a place to showcase their work and connect with people who share similar interests.

“We have a ton of incredibly talented vendors in our community that love creating stuff with bones and crystals and witchy things. So, I just wanted to provide them a place to showcase that artwork,” Griffin said.

Griffin says she already has plans for another event at the Elks Lodge, with the next one scheduled for Oct. 10.
