Southbound lanes on S. Kerr Avenue in Wilmington to close Oct 2. for water line work

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Both southbound lanes of South Kerr Avenue will close for several days beginning Friday, Oct. 2, while crews install a water line.

The closure will begin at 7 p.m. and affect South Kerr Avenue between Market Street and Cinema Drive.

Northbound traffic will not be impacted.

Drivers traveling southbound will be directed to use Cinema Drive as a detour around the closure.

The closure is expected to remain in place through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5.

Drivers traveling through the area should follow posted detour signs and allow additional time for travel.
