Pender County drug investigation leads to four arrests, five guns seized

ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County drug investigation has led to four arrests and the seizure of what deputies describe as trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and five firearms, including a gun reported stolen in Pender County.

Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit concluded the investigation September 14 at a home on Forest Lane in Rocky Point.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives seized methamphetamine and five firearms from the residence during the investigation. Four people were charged.

David Alvarez faces multiple charges, including three counts each of delivering, manufacturing, selling and possessing with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Alvarez is also charged with maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, conspiracy to commit a felony and conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine.

Franchesca Rivera faces two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, along with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances.

Arryn Fields faces the same charges as Rivera, including two counts of trafficking methamphetamine.

Manual Solis is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation involved narcotics distribution and firearms violations at the Forest Lane residence.
