Pumpkins and Purrs fundraiser to benefit All4Cats in Wilmington

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington salon is hosting its second annual Pumpkins and Purrs event this weekend to raise money for a local cat adoption nonprofit.

Beauty and Bloom will host the event Sunday, Oct. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. at 1540 S. Second St. in Wilmington.

The event will feature adoptable cats and kittens from All4Cats, along with a pumpkin patch, local vendors and food. Businesses in the South Front District are also expected to participate.

Organizers say proceeds from the event will benefit All4Cats.

According to organizers, last year’s event raised more than $1,000 through pumpkin sales alone.

The event will include a temporary closure of South Second Street to accommodate vendors and activities.
