Search warrant leads to cocaine, marijuana charges in Tabor City

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — A Tabor City man is facing several drug charges after the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Carolina Road.

Deputies say the Vice/Narcotics Unit conducted several controlled purchases from the residence at 469 Carolina Road over the past several months.

On Oct. 1, the Vice/Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Criminal Investigation Division, searched the home and reported finding cocaine and marijuana.

Phillip Tyrone Jenrette, 38, of Tabor City, was taken into custody.

Jenrette is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine; maintaining a place for a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

The sheriff’s office says Jenrette received a $5,000 secured bond.
