Ashley football defeats North Brunswick 34-14 for second conference win

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Ashley Screaming Eagles picked up their second conference win of the season Friday night, defeating the North Brunswick Scorpions 34-14 on the road. Ashley entered the matchup coming off a bye week and a win over Laney, while North Brunswick was looking to build on its victory over West Brunswick.

Quarterback Raleigh Sutton capitalized on the turnover, connecting with Jeremiah Isom for a touchdown to put Ashley ahead 27-7.

North Brunswick responded with a touchdown of its own as quarterback Eli Talley connected with Christian Willett, cutting the deficit to 27-14. However, Ashley maintained control and went on to secure the 34-14 victory, earning its second conference win of the season.
