WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Novant Health is expanding access to specialized men’s health care with the launch of a new virtual clinic serving patients across North Carolina.

The new Novant Health Virtual Men’s Health service allows men to receive medical evaluations and treatment for erectile dysfunction and other sexual health concerns without visiting a doctor’s office.

According to Novant Health, the service is designed to make specialized care more accessible while providing patients with greater privacy and flexibility.

“Sexual wellness issues like erectile dysfunction can have a meaningful impact on a man’s health and quality of life. That’s why it’s important for patients to have convenient, flexible options for how they receive care,” said Dr. John Schwabe, the clinic’s lead physician.

“Novant Health Virtual Men’s Health offers a new way to connect men with specialized expertise and personalized treatment, helping patients find the right approach for their needs without disrupting their daily lives,” Schwabe added.

Patients will meet virtually with Schwabe or Victor Pereira, a Novant Health physician assistant, to discuss symptoms, receive evaluations and explore treatment options.

Providers will also help connect patients with additional specialists or in-person care when needed.

Novant Health says the virtual clinic is intended to address barriers that can prevent men from seeking medical care, particularly for sensitive health concerns.

The clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Appointments can be scheduled through MyChart or by visiting Novant Health’s virtual care website.
