Car over guardrail causes traffic backups on 74/76

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Traffic was delayed Monday afternoon along U.S. Highway 74/76 in Brunswick County.

A car went over guardrail near Leland, when it ran off the road to the right and struck a guardrail.

No injuries were reported, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) says the crash caused property damage only.

According to Drive NC, the right lane was closed on U.S. 74 westbound past U.S.S Battleship Road before River Road.

The accident has since been cleared.
