Push-in ceremony for Pender County Emergency Services Truck 16

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Emergency Services held a celebratory push-in ceremony for a new truck at Station 16 in Hampstead.

In a post on the Pender County Facebook page, Fire Chief Bruce M. Tucker tradition dates back to the 17th century, when firefighters used hand-drawn carts to transport ladders and hoses, which were then pushed back into the station.
