ABC store approved for Maco Road in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — During its monthly meeting, the NC Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission approved a new store for Brunswick County.

According to a news release, the ABC store will be located at 3660 Maco Road.

The approval is contingent on no objections for the location during the 30-day period for public comment, which actually ends tomorrow.

A media contact for the NC ABC Commission says even though the new location was approved today, a sign was put up at the location 29 days ago, which is why public comment will end on March 8.

During the meeting, the Commission also ratified 59 hearing cases that resulted in penalties in excess of $70,000.
