Accused coach/teacher quits job at Hoggard
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Four months after he was arrested and charged for allegedly kissing a student on campus, Michael Supak has quit his job as a teacher and coach at Hoggard High School.
A New Hanover County Schools spokeswoman confirmed Supak resigned Tuesday. The 37-year-old was arrested in November and charged with indecent liberties with a student. Investigators say the incident happened at the Wilmington school in October.
Supak was due back in court this morning. No word yet on what happened during that appearance.
