Additional security in Brunswick County Schools

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — After the shooting Friday in Newtown, CT officials in Brunswick County say they are stepping up safety measures in its elementary schools.

A spokeswoman with the school district says deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office will be stationed at each elementary school throughout the county until further notice. She says the school district is taking these precautions to ease the minds of its parents and students.
