Afroman concert canceled after rapper punches woman on stage

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A concert featuring rapper Afroman has been canceled at a Downtown Wilmington venue.

Ziggy’s By the Sea was set to feature the rapper Saturday; that show has now been canceled after he was arrested last night in Mississippi.

Afroman was seen on video punching a woman who got on stage to dance with him during his set.

Ziggy’s says anyone who wants a refund for a ticket they bought will get one, but any money not refunded will be donated to the Betty H. Cameron Children and Women’s Hospital.

Ziggy’s says they will replace Afroman with a local band for Saturday night, but they aren’t sure who yet.
