Airlie Gardens celebrates the holidays
WILMINGTON — If you’re looking for a special way to kick off the holiday season, enchanted Airlie may be the perfect event for you.
Airlie Gardens celebrates the holidays with a walking display where you can see over 50 thousand lights covering the gardens, a floral exhibit with over 1 thousand plants and the areas largest model train display.
It’s a good time for the entire family, with beautiful decorations, free coffee…and the big guy from the north pole even makes a special trip for the kids…
Airlie Gardens director Jim McDaniel said, “We have a wonderful Santa who’s ready to listen to the kids’ Christmas lists, so get out here now so you get it for Christmas.”
Enchanted Airlie kicks off Friday night and goes on until Dec. 22.
The event is every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening with two time slots from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tickets cost $5. You can only get tickets online at the Airlie Gardens web site.
